I have heard this many times over the past year since a large brain aneurysm was discovered behind my left eye. But I know that is not luck that has saved me from severe health problems or perhaps even death, but it has been God’s love and protection. Prayers from my family, friends, strangers and the prayer team at Direct Line have played a significant role in my healing.
Christianity has been a significant part of my life for as long as I can remember. I learned at an early age that the Bible was filled with passages to help me throughout my daily life and to give me peace.
But was I prepared for the news in September 2009 that I had a brain aneurysm?! James 4: 14 ~ “You do know what will happen tomorrow “.
“We can coil it or clip it .“
I was listening to a local neurosurgeon with disbelief and fear. He recommended that I be seen by a neurosurgeon at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. who specialized in “coiling” large aneurysms to keep them from bursting. On Oct. 2, 2009 I underwent a surgical procedure to have 12 platinum coils placed into my aneurysm. I recovered over the next 4 weeks and we praised God for his love and protection.
“The coils have compacted and now there is too much open space in your aneurysm. We need in put in a Pipeline Stent. “
In May of 2010 I again listened to this news with again, disbelief and fear. I leaned on Job 13:51 ~ “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him.” I knew that I could learn from Job as he had maintained his faith and trust in God. I knew that I had to draw on my God given strength. It is very challenging to manage trouble that we cannot foresee and would not think possible. I underwent another procedure in mid-June where two Pipeline Stents were placed on the artery that the aneurysm was attached to, with the medical hope that they would clot off the blood flow to the aneurysm. The doctors at Mayo Clinic said that they would do another angiogram in December to determine how the stents were working.
Before this operation a prayer partner from Direct Line called me and asked if she could visit me and pray with me. On a rainy morning in early June she came to my office, held my hands, and asked God to help. What a meaningful experience! During her prayers I recall her saying, “Lord, take this aneurysm away! “ After the prayers when I opened my eyes there was golden glow around the room that lingered for some time.
“The Miracle at Mayo “
In late August, 2010 I experienced sudden and severe nose bleeds from my left nostril. The medical team at the Mayo Clinic wanted to see me as soon as possible because they feared that the aneurysm was leaking blood. We travelled in the early morning hours for what was once again a time of uncertainty. After a brief consultation with Dr. Lanzino, the neurosurgeon who had put in the coils and stents, I underwent a cat scan then a cerebral angiogram at St. Mary’s Hospital. Hours later as I was recovering flat on my back in the hospital bed, with the attending radiologist applying firm pressure to my groin area to try and get the bleeding to stop from the angiogram, Dr. Lanzino entered my room beaming. “Your aneurysm is gone!! “he said. The radiologist said to us,” We do not use the word “miracle “very often here at the Mayo Clinic, but this is in indeed a MIRACLE.”
My first thought was, “Praise be to God !“
“The Ultimate Birthday Present “ ~ On September 29, 2010 my birthday, my prayer partner once again came to my office and we spent nearly an hour together talking about this miracle, the power of testimony , and even what concerns I may still be having . I shared with her that my medical insurance company was denying covering my last visit to the Mayo Clinic, and this medical bill was close to $50,000.00. I am appealing this and she offered to pray with me to ask God to help me once again by reversing the decision of my insurance company so this debt is covered. Once again after the prayer session with her I saw a golden glow around the room. I know that another miracle will soon be revealed when the letter arrives stating that they have decided to cover the medical bill after all.
I am offering this testimony because I want people to know what God has done for me and that he will do miracles for others! I have gained wisdom by knowing what God has done and I hope that my story will release the power of a miracle.
I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to Direct Line for their prayers and for revealing once again the spirit of God.

Update: Another answered prayer..my insurance company reversed its decision and covered my medical bills! And on June 20, 2011, I was reexamined at Mayo Clinic and the doctor said it is Phenomenal...I have a clean bill of health!! Thank you Jesus!

God spoke to me today...The truth is God is always communicating with me. He listens to me, he hears my prayers and he answers me. He knows what is in my heart. His power is incomprehensible. All he needs me to do is be tuned in to that conversation so that I can see his works and hear his voice. I have found that connection to him through a commitment to daily prayer. There was a time when I did not focus on my prayer life and Direct Line helped to bring me back into that focus. The wonderful caring volunteers really seek to help others experience the gifts from God that come through prayer. I go just as I am and encounter people who open their arms to pray for me and with me and much like Jesus, without judgment. I would strongly encourage anybody who wants to let God know their heart to contact Direct Line. They listen. They pray. And because of it my life has changed completely...Jessica Evjen KaiserTESTIMONY BY SANDY KRAUTH:September was a miraculous, amazing, and awakening month for me. I have lived and struggled with some of the affects of being diabetic for 27 years. Damage to my eyesight has been the most frightening.
My brother had heard testimony from a friend that he had a miraculous healing of a severe eye problem that was causing him to go blind. It turned out that the people who prayed over his friend were actually mutual friends. My brother convinced me to go with him and have them pray for my healing too. At first I was very skeptical, and thought how can I be healed by prayer? I then thought I have nothing to lose! As I was being prayed over I felt such a sense of calmness and serenity. Years of anziety, fear, and anger were being lifted...At one point I could feel my toes moving and laying flat. I could feel my calf muscle contracting. The amazing thing about this was because I have nerve damage in one leg, my toes had atrophied some, and I was not able to contract the calf muscle for years. The most miraculous thing happened when I opened my eyes. They were BETTER!!!! I didn't have perfect vision, but the clarity of my vision was definitely improved. Upon diagnosis, my vision in the most troubled eye had improved from 20/100 to 20/40!!! I now pray on the expectaion of continued healing, and know I will heal, as I help others.
